Lawrence Paul Yuxweluptun: Unceded Territories

I recently attended the opening show of the Unceded Territories exhibition by Lawrence Paul Yuxweluptunat the Museum of Anthropology on the UBC campus (unceded territory of  the Musqueam people).

Yuxweluptun has an amazing ability bring forward such politically and culturally relevant topics using personification of the land around us consisting of vibrant colours and intricate designs. He touches on topics from residential schools and how the First Nations community has progressed, to present issues such as climate change. Overall a the work is evoking an emotional. I highly suggest you all check it out!
